ಭಾಗವತ ಕಥೆಗಳು ವಾಮನ ಅವತಾರ

ಅಮೃತವನ್ನು ಪಾನ ಮಾಡಿದವರು ಸಾವನ್ನೇ ಕಾಣದ ಚಿರಂಜೀವಿಗಳಾಗುವರೆಂದು ದೇವತೆಗಳೂ, ದಾನವರು ಅರಿತರು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವ-ದಾನವರೀರ್ವರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರಮಥನ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಅಮೃತ ತುಂಬಿದ ಕಲಶವೇನೋ ಲಭಿಸಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ದೇವತೆಗಳೇ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಹವಣಿಸಿದರು. ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ದಾನವರು ಅಂದರೆ ಅಸುರರು (ರಾಕ್ಷಸರು) ದೇವತೆಗಳ ರಾಜನಾದ ಇಂದ್ರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋರಾಡತೊಡಗಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಈ ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಅಗ್ರಗಣ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿ ಎಂಬುವವನೂ ಒಬ್ಬ. ದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀವಿಷ್ಣುವಿನ ಕೃಪೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ದಾನವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋತರು. ಬಲಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಎನಿಸಿದ್ದವನು. ಈತನ ತಾತನೇ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ-ಪರಮ ವಿಷ್ಣುಭಕ್ತ. ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋತ ಬಳಿಕ, ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನೆನಿಸಲು, ದಾನವರ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಶುಕ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಜಿತ್ ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದ. ಪ್ರಸನ್ನನಾದ ಅಗ್ನಿದೇವನು ಬಲಿ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ರಥ, ಕಂಠೀರವ ಧ್ವಜ ಹಾಗೂ ದಿವ್ಯಧನುಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿದ.

ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ದಿಗ್ವಿಜಯಿಯೆನಿಸಿ ಬಲಿರಾಜ ಇಡೀ ಭೂಮಂಡಲಕ್ಕೇ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಎನಿಸಿದ. ಧರ್ಮದಿಂದ ನೇಮನಿಷ್ಠನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಳತೊಡಗಿದ. ಇಷ್ಟಾದರೂ ಹಿಂದೆ ತಾನು ಇಂದ್ರನಿಂದ ಸೋತಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಬಲಿ ಮರೆತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಅಪೌರುಷೇಯನೆನಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅವನು ಸಮಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಇಂದ್ರನ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯಾದ ಅಮರಾವತಿಗೆ ಹೇಳದೆ-ಕೇಳದೆ, ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ. ದೇವೇಂದ್ರ ಈ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಆಕ್ರಮಣವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ತತ್ತರಿಸಿದ. ದಿಕ್ಕೇ ತೋಚದಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜಗುರುವಾದ ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಏದುಸಿರು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾ ಧಾವಿಸಿದ. ದಾನವೇಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ಕೇಳಿದ. ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಹೇಳಿದರು:

“ಇಂದ್ರ, ಬಲಿ ಅಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ. ಶಂಕರ, ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿನ ವಿನಃ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆ ಅಸುರೇಶ್ವರನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಬೀಳದಂತೆ ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರು.” ಗುರುವಾಣಿಯಂತೆ ದೇವೇಂದ್ರ ತನ್ನವರೆಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಮರಾವತಿಯನ್ನೇ ತೊರೆದು, ಗುಪ್ತಸ್ಥಳವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಡಿಯಂತೆ ಅವಿತುಕೊಂಡ. ಬಲಿ ಅಟ್ಟಹಾಸದಿಂದ ಅಮರಾವತಿ ನಗರದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ. ತಾನೇ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ರಾಜನಾದ. ವರ್ಷಾನುಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ದೇವೇಂದ್ರನು ತನ್ನವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾಡು ಮೇಡುಗಳೆನ್ನದೆ ದಾನವ ವೀರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬೀಳದೆ ಅಲೆಯತೊಡಗಿದ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ಅದಿತಿಗೆ ಕರುಳು ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಬರುವಂತಾಯಿತು. ತನ್ನ ಪತಿದೇವನಾದ ಕಶ್ಯಪನ ಬಳಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಗೋಗರೆದಳು. ಕಶ್ಯಪನಿಗೂ ವಿಚಾರ ತಿಳಿದಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ದಾರುಣ ದುಃಖವೇ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ದಾರಿ ಕಾಣದೆ ತಳಮಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಡದಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದ. “ದಾನವೇಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಲು ಮಹಾವಿಷ್ಣು ಓರ್ವನಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಅವನ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವೀಗ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಇದೊಂದೇ ದಾರಿ. ನೀನು ಈಗ ಆತನನ್ನೇ ಕುರಿತು, ದೀರ್ಘ ತಪಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸು. ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೋಭಿಲಾಷೆ ಫಲಿಸುವುದು.” ಅದರಂತೆ ಅದಿತಿದೇವಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿನ ಧ್ಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋರ ತಪಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದಳು. ಭಕ್ತರ ಭಕ್ತನಾದ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಭಗವಾನನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾದ. ಅವಳನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ:

“ಅಮ್ಮಾ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಯಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಈಡೇರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಈ ಘೋರ ತಪಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡು.” ದಿನಗಳೆದಂತೆ ಅದಿತಿ ಗರ್ಭವತಿ ಆದಳು. ಒಂದು ಗಂಡು ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಹಡೆದಳು. ವಿಷ್ಣುವೇ ತಮಗೆ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಅದಿತಿ, ಕಶ್ಯಪರೀರ್ವರೂ ಅತುಲಾನಂದಿತರಾದರು. ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ವಾಮನ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟರು. ಸಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಶ್ಯಪನು ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮೋಪದೇಶ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ. ಯಕ್ಷರಾಜ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತಃ ವಟುವಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಭಿಕ್ಷಾಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ. ಭವಾನಿದೇವಿಯೇ ಪ್ರಥಮತಃ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ನೀಡಿದಳು. ವಟು ವಾಮನನು ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣೋತ್ತಮರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ವಿನಯದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ: “ದಾನವೀರರೆನಿಸಿದ ರಾಜರು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಈ ಮೂರೂ ಲೋಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆಯೇ?” ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು: “ಶತಾಶ್ವಮೇಧಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿ, ಜಗದ್ವಿಜೇತನೆನಿಸಿದ ಬಲಿಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿಯೇ ಅಂತಹ ದಾನವೀರ ಎನಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.” ವಟು ವಾಮನ ತನಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಮುಗ್ಧ ಮನೋಭಾವದಿಂದ ವಿಪ್ರರೆಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅಮರಾವತಿಗೆ ಬಂದ. ಆಗ ಬಲಿ ಒಂದು ಯಾಗ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದ. ಯಾಗಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವಟು ವಾಮನನನ್ನು ದೂರದಿಂದಲೇ ನೋಡತೊಡಗಿದ. ‘ಇವನ್ಯಾರೋ ಮಹಾಮಹಿಮನೇ ಇರಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ಅವನ ಅಂರ್ತಮನ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಸ್ವತಃ ಎದ್ದು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ. ಉಚಿತ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿ, ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದ. ಅಘ್ರ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ-ಭಕ್ತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತ, ನಿವೇದನೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ:

“ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ತಾವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾದರೂ ಏನು? ಸಂಕೋಚಪಡದೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರೆ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸಿಕೊಡಲು ಕಂಕಣಬದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.” ಬಲಿ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ನಿರ್ಮಲ ನಿಶ್ಚಲ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ಧೀರ ಧೀಮಂತ ಮಾತುಗಳು ವಟುವಾಮನನಿಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಗೊಳಿಸಿದುವು. ಇಂತಹವನನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯಭ್ರಷ್ಟನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಅಳುಕಿತು. ಆದರೂ ಅದಿತಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಬದ್ಧನೆನಿಸಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯದ ಕಡೆ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಳಿದ: “ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ, ನನಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಕೋಶ ಯಾವುದರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನನಗೆ ನೀನು ದಾನ ನೀಡಲು ಬಯಸುವುದಾದರೆ ಕೇವಲ ನನ್ನ ಮೂರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಷ್ಟು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಸಾಕು.” ಬಲಿಗೆ ವಟುವಿನ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಿ ನಗು ಬಂತು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ವಟು ಪುರುಷ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಬರಬೇಕಿತ್ತೆ? ಎಂದು ಅನುಮಾನಿಸತೊಡಗಿದ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದ ದೈತ್ಯಗುರು ಶುಕ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿಯ ಕಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಲ್ಲನೆ ಉಸುರಿದರು! “ಆತುರಪಡಬೇಡ! ಈ ವಟು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯನಲ್ಲ. ಈತನೇ ಮಹಾವಿಷ್ಣು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸಲು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ!” ಬಲಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮಾತು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ವಚನಭ್ರಷ್ಟನೆನಿಸಲು ಬಯಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ಮಡದಿಯಾದ ರಾಣಿ ವಿಂಧ್ಯಾವಳಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಟು ವಾಮನನು ಬೇಡಿದ ಮೂರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಷ್ಟು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಉದಾರ ಮನದಿಂದ ಧಾರೆ ಎರೆದು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಳಿದ:

“ಪೂಜ್ಯರೇ, ತಾವು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವೇ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳೆದು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಯಾವ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.” ಶುಕ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಮನ್ನಣೆ ನೀಡದ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಸಿವಿಸಿಗೊಂಡರು, ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡರು. “ಪತಿತನಾಗಿ ಹೋಗು” ಎಂದು ಶಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕುಬ್ಜನಾಗಿದ್ದ ವಾಮನ ವಿಪ್ರನು ತನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದೆತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳೆಯಿಸಿದನು. ವಾಮನ ತನ್ನ ಒಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಳೆದು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ. ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ದೇವಲೋಕವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಳೆದು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ. ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೋರಥ ಈಡೇರಿತೆಂದು, ಶ್ರೀಹರಿ ರೂಪದ ವಾಮನನ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅಂತರಿಕ್ಷದಿಂದ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಹೂಮಳೆಗರೆದರು. ವಾಮನ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ: “ಸಾಮ್ರಾಟ್, ಎರಡು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಷ್ಟು ಭೂಮಿ ಯಾಗಸಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳೆದು ಪಡೆದುದಾಯಿತು. ಈಗ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ಅಳೆಯುವ ಭೂಭಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ? ನೀನೇ ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಡು ಎಂದ.” ವಿಷ್ಣುಭಕ್ತನಾದ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ ತಾನೇ ಈ ಬಲಿ? ತಾನು ವಿಷ್ಣುಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ ಇಂತಹ ಅಪಾರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಪುನೀತನಾದೆನೆಂದು ಹಿಗ್ಗುತ್ತಾ, ವಟು ವಾಮನನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೈ ಜೋಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಮೊಳಕಾಲೂರಿ ಕೂಡುತ್ತಾ ವಿನಮ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ನುಡಿದ:

“ಪ್ರಭು, ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾದವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟು ಅಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ನಾನು ಕೃತಾರ್ಥನಾದೆ.” ಈಗ ವಾಮನ ಅವನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ತುಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ, ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅದುಮಿದ. “ಬಲಿಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ! ನಿನ್ನ ಉದಾರ ಮನದ ದಾನಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ. ನೀನು ಸುತಲ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಭಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರು. ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಾವಲಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾವರ್ಣಿಮನುವಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಇಂದ್ರಪದವಿ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾಗುವುದು” ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅಂತರ್ಧಾನನಾದನು. ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ದೇವೇಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಅಮರಾವತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ದಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ.

TEAM

A Businessman gets stranded on a lonely highway in the US.
The tyres of his car get stuck badly in a mud pool.

He looks around for help and finally finds an old farmer.
The businessman goes to him asking for help to get his car out of the mud.

Farmer gauges the situation, and agrees to help him and says, let us take the help of warwick, an old bull at the farm.

The farmer ties the bull to the car and start shouting loudly, "FRED, PULL!... JACK, PULL!... JOHN, PULL... WARWICK, PULL..."

As the farmer keeps shouting these words, the bull Warwick gets the car out of the pool of mud.

The Businessman is relieved but has a doubt in his mind.
He thanks the farmer and asks him, "You said the bull’s name was Warwick, and he was alone, then who were Fred, Jack & John?"

The Farmer answered, "See, Warwick is old and is also blind. He does not know he is pulling this car alone. The moment he hears the other names, he thinks he is in a team, and he gives his best".

So is the case with all of us.
The very thought that there are others in this same situation as us, gives us a great deal of comfort, hope, confidence and enthuses us to put our heart and soul into any task that we undertake.

It's not without reason that the very word *TEAM* is said to stand for *"Together  Everyone Achieves More"*.

This too shall pass...

During World War II, numerous fighter planes were getting hit by anti-aircraft guns.

Air Force officers wanted to add some protective armor/shield to the planes. The question was *"where"?*

The planes could only support few more kilos of weight. A group of mathematicians and engineers were called for a short consulting project.

Fighter planes returning from missions were analysed for bullet holes per square foot. They found 1.93 bullet holes/sq. foot near the tail of the planes whereas only 1.11 bullet holes/sq. foot close to the engine.

The Air Force officers thought that since the tail portion had the greatest density of bullets, that would be the logical location for putting an anti-bullet shield.

A mathematician named Abraham Wald said exactly the opposite; *More protection is needed where the bullet holes aren't - that is -around the engines.*

His judgement surprised everyone.  He said *We are counting the planes that returned from a mission. Planes with lots of bullet holes in the engine did not return at all*.

*Debrief*

If you go to the recovery room at the hospital, you’ll see a lot more people with bullet holes in their legs than people with bullet holes in their chests.  _That’s not because people don’t get shot in the chest; it’s because the people who get shot in the chest don’t recover._

Be vocal about local ...

ಧ್ವನಿಯಾಗು ದೇಶೀಯ ಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ...
ಇದನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಅಲೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಬೇಕು. ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ it is nothing but Swadeshi ಅಷ್ಟೇ.
ನಾವು 10 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಒಂದು ಬ್ರಿಟಾನಿಯ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ತನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ 6 ರೂಪಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಡಾಲರ್ ಆಗಿ convert ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಮೆರಿಕಾಕ್ಕೆ ತಗೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. Indian economic system is a drained out. ನಮ್ಮ ಹಣ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೇ ಹರಿದಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ it leads to our rupee depreciation or devaluation. ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಣ ತಿರುಗಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ it will appreciate. Thats what his indication.  ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ರೂಪಾಯಿಯ ಅಪಮೌಲ್ಯ ಆಗಬಾರದೆಂದರೆ we should go for local. ಯಾವುದೇ ಸ್ವದೇಶೀ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ , ಜಯಂತಿ.. ಪಾಂಡುರಂಗ ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿಯಿರಿ ತೊಂದರೆಯಿಲ್ಲ. But don't go for Nescafe or Bru...
Be local ಅಂತ ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೇಳಬಹುದಿತ್ತು ಆದರೆ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರು ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. Be vocal ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಸಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಅಂತ. Create a new environment so that ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ದುಡ್ಡು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಸುತ್ತಾಡುವಂತಾಗಬೇಕು. It should not go to London, America, Belgium or Chaina. ಚೀನಾದಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಟದ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಬೆಲೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೆ ಅಂತಾ ತಗೊಂಡ್ರೆ it will hit our Rupee. ಆ rupee ಗೆ ಒದೇ ಬಿತ್ತು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಯಾವ ಮನೆಯವರು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಅಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಟದ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳನ್ನ ತಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೋ ಅವರೂ ಒದೇ ತಿಂದ ಹಾಗೇನೇ.
ಈಗ ಅಮೇರಿಕಾ ಮತ್ತು ಚೀನಾ they are agreeing on a fact, ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ UNನಲ್ಲಿನ Security Council ನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಅಂತ. Because the leadership is strong ಅಂತ. ನೆನ್ನೆ ಮೊನ್ನೆ ತಾನೇ ಅವರು ಭಾರತದ leadership strong  ಅಂತ ಮಾತನಾಡಿರೋದು, India may get s seat in Security Council ಅಂತ. But Modi did not scared about it. ನಾನು ಹೊಸ ರೀತಿಯ Economy Systemನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀನಿ ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ Be Vocal about Local ಅಂದ್ರು. ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದ ಡೊನಾಲ್ಡ್ ಟ್ರಂಪ್ ಗೆ ಅಥವಾ ಚೀನಾದವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ತರಹದ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಬರುತ್ತೋ ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಲೆ ಕೆಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಥವಾ Security Council ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಸಿಗತ್ತೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಆತಂಕಗೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬೇಕಾದ್ರೆ ನೀವು Security Council ನಲ್ಲಿ seat ನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಬೇಡಿ, ಯಾವಾಗ ತಗೋಬೇಕೋ ಆವಾಗ ತಗೋತೀವಿ ಅನ್ನೋ ಎದೆಗಾರಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ we will re-build India on a new theme ಎಂದು ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೊರೋನಾ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಯಾವ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಇತ್ತೋ ಅದರಿಂದ drastic changeನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಅವರ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ನಿಲುವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ವಾರದಿಂದ ಟಿ ವಿ ಸಂವಾದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರ್ಯಾರು guestಗಳು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರೋ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ CNBC, CNBC Awaz, Economic Times ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೋವರೆಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು at least ಒಂದು 7-8 lakh crores if possible 10 lakh crores package anounce ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಅಂತ. But he anounced 20 lakh crores package !!!
ಹಾಗಾದ್ರೆ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಅಂಗಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಖರ್ಚಾಗಬೇಕು? ಕಂಚಿ.. ಈರೋಡ್ ಇಂದ ಬರುವ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಖರ್ಚಾದ್ರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೂ ಲಾಭ ಉಂಟು, ತಮಿಳು ನಾಡಿಗೂ ಲಾಭ ಉಂಟು. ಚನ್ನೈ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರ್ ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ಸೋಪ್ ಖರ್ಚಾದ್ರೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ತಮಿಳು ನಾಡಿಗೂ ಲಾಭ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೂ ಲಾಭ.
ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ವಿದೇಶದ ಯಾವುದೋ ಸೋಪ್ , ಶಾಂಪೂ ಖರ್ಚಾದ್ರೆ ನಾವು ಅಂಗಡಿಯವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡೊ ದುಡ್ಡು supplier ಮೂಲಕ ಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರಿ ಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಡಾಲರ್ ಆಗಿಯೋ, ಪೌಂಡ್ ಆಗಿಯೋ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯಾಗಿ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದರೆ  ಇವತ್ತಿನ ನಮ್ಮ economy ಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು  ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿಯ ಬದಲು 90 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಉಳಿದ 10 ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲಾ. ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 10% ದುಡ್ಡು it will convert into Dollar or Pound. ಹಾಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಮೋದಿಯವರು ಕರೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರೋದು ... "ಧ್ವನಿಯಾಗು ದೇಶೀಯ ಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ" ( Be Vocal about Local) ಅಂತ.
