I have hired 7 interns in a row! I will explain how I recruited 7 interns back-to-back.

1) How did I hire 7?

2) What's the deal with 7?

3) Where did I find 7?

I will now reveal everything

1) Consistency is the key, if you give everything as the best, then you will conquer any challenge. Do not look to anyone for anything. Do your work and the rest will follow you back.

2) Don't influence any candidate in any way or never tell them about the target but just tell them why we are charging .. the motto behind paying...

As HRs, you are the face of the company. Therefore, it is very imp that you have to be confident in the approach.

If we are confident, only then the applicants will be interested.

3) Candidates are found on a various social networking sites

Everyone has their own method of hiring candidates.

This is my way, but be careful to always work hard, sometime smart work is also necessary for the hour, always be consistent, and don't look elsewhere.

Infosys Narayan Murthy !!

 Received from a friend -sharing.

I boarded flight- Bangalore to Mumbai, economy class - my bag in overhead bin & took my aisle seat. There was an old person next to me on the window seat.

I had a presentation in Mumbai, so took my documents & started going through them for the final time before the presentation. After 15–20 minutes I was done with my documents, so I put them away and started looking out of the window, and suddenly I looked at the face of this person sitting next to me. I thought I have seen him somewhere.

He was old, his face, the suit was not very expensive, & he was replying to some mails or going through some documents. I exactly don’t know. I noticed his shoes, they were average quality.

Something stuck me and I asked him:
*“Are you Mr. Narayana Murthy?”*

He looked at me, smiled & replied, *“Yes, I am.”*

I was shocked !
For one second I had no idea what to say next. I looked at him again. His shoes, his suit, his tie and his specs. Everything was average. This guy was worth $2.3 Billion and co-founded Infosys.

I always wanted to become super rich so that I can buy all the luxury & travel business class. He could buy the airlines and yet he was sitting next to me in economy class!

I again asked: Why are you travelling in economy class & not business class?

He replied:
“Do Business class people reach early?”

& then introduced myself, “Hello sir! My name is X & I am a trainer and I work with many MNCs PAN India.”

He put his phone away and started listening to me, he also asked few questions and answered the questions I asked. We both went down deep into the conversation until I asked a question which was about to change my life entirely.

I questioned: Sir, You are so successful & have made so many good decisions in your life. Something you regret?

He got intense look on his face, thought for a while & answered,
“Sometimes my knee hurts, I should have taken better care of my body. When I was young I was so busy working that I never got time to take care of myself & now even if I want to work more, I can’t - body doesn’t permit.”

You are young. You are smart & ambitious - don’t repeat my mistake . Take proper care of your body & take proper rest. This is the only body you have got!

That day I learned 2 things, one that he told me & another that he showed me!

Being rich not about owning things
I got what I needed
What a great & down to earth human being & so successful

In this list, almost everyone is of India's origin. But currently, most of them don't stay in India or doesn't have a passport too. They went to the US to do their masters and stayed there. Brain Drain.

OLA: Bhavish Aggarwal
CRED: Kunal Shah
OYO: Ritesh Agarwal
Paytm: Vijay Shekhar Sharma
PhonePe: Sameer Nigam

Many other.....

These are the people who stayed here and founded great companies to solve India's problems. Don't you use Ola or Oyo? If these companies would not have been here probably the market would be captured by Uber or Airbnb or any other American giants.

While we celebrate Indian origin CEOs of global companies, These people are staying here and inspiring the youth to build here.
