"Salutations to the one who conferred Mukti (salvation) to the mute person"

Sri Ramanuja's 'thaniyan' - 'Yo nithyamachyutha Achyutha.....sharanam prapadye’ - declares that he is 'dayaikasindhu' - an ocean of compassion. Countless instances in his life bear witness to this trait of his.

There was a mute devotee of Sri Ramanuja who was known for his earnestness. Once, Sri Ramanuja showered his compassion and blessed him very intimately. Sri Kuresha enviously witnessed this matchless incident. It was obvious that Sri Ramanuja's grace confers spiritual salvation. Sri Kuresha surmised that his own wisdom and efforts were in vain compared to the dumb person's luck. He realised that the grace of the Guru is mightier than one's own powers and prowesses.

मूक is a mute person. मुक्ति means salvation. प्रदायक is 'bestower'.
